Risk Disclosure & Participation Consent
This is an informed assumption of risk — not a blanket waiver of claims. It shows that risks were disclosed, participation is voluntary, and both sides’ safety duties are clear. During online booking you consent to this separately; each participant may also re-confirm on-site at the resort. The Chinese version is authoritative.
1. Nature of the activity
Skiing and snowboarding are outdoor activities with inherent danger. Even with coaching, protective gear and rule-following, the possibility of accident, injury, illness, rescue or property loss cannot be completely eliminated.
2. Main disclosed risks (not exhaustive)
- Falls, loss of balance, sliding, loss of speed control, edge catches or rebound;
- Collisions with other skiers, guests, coaches, third parties or moving equipment;
- Collisions with trees, rocks, barriers, nets, lift structures, snow-making equipment, signs, snow vehicles;
- Terrain risks: ice, hard/deep/powder/wet snow, tree wells, bumps, crevices, steeps, tree runs;
- Snowfall, blizzards, strong wind, cold, whiteout, reduced visibility, rapid weather change;
- Sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations, ligament/tendon injury, head or spinal injury, frostbite, hypothermia;
- Equipment failure, poor fit, incorrect binding settings, release or misuse;
- Risks from your own fitness, skill, fear, fatigue, illness, medication, alcohol or misjudgement;
- Rescue delay, limited communication, remote terrain and other unforeseeable outdoor risks.
3. I confirm (each ticked during online booking)
- I have read and understood the main risks and had the chance to ask questions.
- I take part voluntarily and accept the risks inherent to the activity, or caused by myself or other causes not attributable to the School.
- I understand this does not exclude the School’s liability for intent, gross negligence or anything law does not allow to be excluded, nor affect my mandatory rights.
- I will ski within my ability, follow resort rules and reasonable safety instructions, and not leave the group or enter terrain beyond my ability without permission.
- If I feel pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty, extreme fatigue or other abnormality, I will stop immediately and tell the coach.
- The ability and safety information I gave is truthful; I have not hidden anything that would change the coach’s safety judgement.
4. Emergency response
If I cannot express my wishes and it is reasonably necessary to protect life or health, I consent to the School contacting resort patrol, ambulance, fire, police, medical facilities, insurers or my emergency contact. Rescue, transport and medical costs follow the cause, insurance and legal responsibility; this clause does not pre-shift onto me costs that law places on the School.
